Internet explorer settings

I am having problems with playing YOU TUBE videos. In my programs list under
the START menu there are 2 Internet Explorer programs ie Internet Explorer &
Internet Explorer (X64) . If I highlight the (x64) version and disable the POP UP
BLOCKER via the TOOLS button I can play a YOU TUBE video but only in the
one browsing session ie. as soon as I go back to open another session using
GOOGLE search YOU TUBE won't play.
Also I notice that I am getting a lot of frozen screens when browsing
with a message YOUR BROWSING SESSION HAS ENCOUNTERED PROBLEMS.
ARE these problems related? I was thinking of RESETTING INTERNET EXPLORER
but this sounds a bit dangerous.
ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE

Ice, welcome to Sevenforums!

Reseting it is a good idea. It will ask if you want to keep personal settings. After, go to get.adobe.com/flashplayer and download flashplayer to your desktop. Uninstall adobe flashplayer from contol panel in favor of installing this newer version. Check add-ons in internet explorer and make sure all the ones you want are there and none other. Having IEx64 and normal IE is standard on a x64 system, which you have. They are 2 versions of the same browser, but have about the same speed (for IE9). I'd use the normal one due to compatability reasons. Hope this helps
