Windows won't remember links I have clicked on. WHY????

Windows won't remember any links that I click on anymore. After the last update I can no longer see the links that I have already looked at. Before it would keep the link highlighted purple and links I have not looked at would stay blue. WHAT GIVES???

Tools/Internet Explorer/General/Browsing History/Settings/History to set the length of the History memory. Also, after you delete the browsing history all the links will appear as new.
