setting up sidebar and other tasks

I need to know how to set up the sidebar (on left side) where the folders are located.
Does this version not save emails that I send or must I BCC each email?
I can't find where deleted emails go? Is there no trashcan for deleted emails?

Welcome to Seven Forums dulci2play. I think everyone will need more info. Are you talking about your email client? Web based email? If so, which one? A Guy

I don't understand your question. I use gmail and messages are downloaded into my windows live 2001 email program. So can you tell me, is it web based or client based? either way, I'd like to have a copy of what I send out in a SENT folder and a folder for reference information I want to keep.
The folders show on the side bar, but they are empty, and I know I have sent out messages. They have been lost to me since I downloaded this windows essential 2011 program.

Sidebar Gone?
I love the new windows 7 sidebar as it is customizable and you can add and remove icons. I had a virus on my computer (dell studio laptop) and I ran SpyHunter to get rid of it. Which it did, thank goodness! The only problem I have now is my sidebar is gone, poof :( I have no idea how to get it...
