IE9 tabs-selecting new site replaces open tab. Not what I want to do.

Each time I select a new website from my Favorites it replaces the existing open tab with the new selection. I want a new separate tab to open with each new selection, leaving the previous tabs in place and functional. Changing settings in Tools has not accomplished this so far. I do not want to have to "open (ctrl I)" a new tab before making the selection from my Favorites, etc. What am I missing and how can I have a new separate tab opened each time I make a new choice? I have most of my favorite sites on my Favorites Bar and switch between them often.

Have been using Avant Browser and it allows all tabs to remain as others are added. Easy to switch back and forth as needed.

Many thanks!

Right-click your favorite (website) and select 'open in new tab'

It is not a global setting, however, and you would need to do it every time. I am not aware of a global setting that does this.

DustSailor is correct, this was removed from IE9. A workaround would be to creata new folder on your favorites bar with all your favorites inside. You can then open the folder and right click "open on new tab" each favorite. Not a good thing, but it works. Getting used to right clicking as DustSailor suggested would be easier. A Guy
