Windows 7: Opera 12 - my thoughts

Opera 12 - my thoughts

Just been playing around with Opera 12 for the last 2 days. Normally I'm a Mozilla man but lately I have not been to impressed with their offerings, particularly Thunderbird. Anyway I am very happy to see some great improvements in Opera 12 (the last one I tried was Opera 10).

For starters its a lot snappier than 10. 10 always seemed to drag its heels a bit, not any more though. Also its seems they have cleaned up the interface quite a bit too. I stumbled about a bit at first, being very different to Firefox but now after two days I think it is a very intuitive interface. Great work.

What really put a big smile on my face was the email client. Such a vast improvement on 10! And so easy to set up. Easier than Thunderbird imo. And (and this is a biggie, for me at least) one can finally add images to signatures. Couldn't do that with 10. Yay... I is happy.

I know this is just scratching the surface but so far it checks all the right boxes. Looks like my 6 year relationship with Mozilla might be coming to an end...
