Can I customize tool bar and tabs in IE9 this way ?

What I would like to do is this :

Use the IE9 option to show tabs on seperate row, but not have 3 'rows' showing, only 2, 1 being the tabs row, the other being the default address bar row -BUT as well as the icons for home, favs and tools, include some of the command bar icons on the top row.

In other words the same as I could do in IE8

(I guess the simple solution is to go back to IE8 - unless it can be done in IE9?)

No, at least by default, this is not possible. You could write your own wrapper around the IE9 engine, but in IE9 itself the menu bars, address bar, and tabs are all on separate rows in that configuration.

Thanks, looks like I will just have to get used to it as is.
