Better let it run overnight or longer to see if it proceeds or rolls back. To interrupt it can risk data loss. Hopefully you backed up your files first.

If it fails then you do a booted Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 to get a superior install to the factory preinstall - which most tech enthusiasts won't even run due to the corruption caused by the sponsors' crapware and useless factory utiltiies which duplicate better ones in Win7.

Just for interest - and because it may point up some errors, please run an MGADiag report...

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
    - **in your own thread**, please
Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

Hello mate . Sometimes it take long, but 4 hours are extremely long. If you disable the programs those are unsupported by the repair install, and disconnect the internet, I am almost sure that it will not take any unreasonable long .

    Best of luck .

After disabling Antivirus, iTunes etc unsupported programs, and disconnecting network, you should start a fresh attempt.

And, the suggestion that given by Greg always work :) All internet browsers get certificate error even after correcting date

please post the MGADiag report - it may show where the problem lies. (download it on another machine if you have to and copy it to a USB stick - run it and save the output to Notepad and save the file on the stick- copy it to your response)

Then proceed with the Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which will solve all issues. Keep to the best practices in the tutorial (even for retail) to get and keep a perfect install.

    How is your Win7 activated?

i ran MGAD tool but it only showed some useless information about validity of windows without any log. It says windows is genuine, it's activated......
anyway i've tried using it in safe mode with networking capabilities and everything seems to be alright: No certificate error. But in normal mode i can't gain internet access even if it stays connected.
btw: i'm not planning to do a clean reinstall cause i got 150gb of data to back up

You might try doing a clean start to see if something is interfering since it works in safe mode.

Clean start didn't help either(((.I assume it's a driver issue but not sure which one.
NoelDP, what kind of info you need couse MGAD didn't give me a log file, it show separate tabs with ability to copy info on it
