erm..I think it's in appdata/roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/profiles/yourprofile/bookmarks.html

You can export all your bookmarks to a folder from the browser.

Bookmarks - Organize Bookmarks -Import and Backup - Export HTML

Is that what you wanted??

Thanks Aaron

Thats where the bookmarks are suposed to be, but no nothing that easy. I want to kill off these bookmarks which is easy enough but Im using a firefox addon to backup profile info and its stored wherever the bookmarks are. I have searched (of course), looked in the likely folders, and they still appear in Firefox so still exist.

No big deal this computer has been needing 7600 for a while I have just been too lazy. Im now hunting down the drivers and personal stuff I will need (serials, keys, registration info, etc) to installl rtm.

Ill let you know where they are when im done.

Thanks

Ken

Hi Ken,

Just for the sake of knowing I think internally they're held in the "places.sqlite" and possibly the "places.sqlite-journal" files in the profile folder. You could try backing them up and deleting them as I think FF will recreate automatically

Well I think they are in two places. First they may be where they should be in sqlite form. I also found the back folder for them with the html file in c:\users\k\application data\mozzilla\firefox\profile\default\etc ( see the pics). I found the FEBE file which for some reason is in the application data folder (the locked folder) and copied it off. Had to use tree size to open it and copy but all is well.

Thanks Nigel, Aaron. Now I can blow this up and start all over again. God I love re-installing <g>

I know this is completed and closed but just to clarify something.

The "2nd location" you found is not actually a location of its own but a shortcut to the first.
