Log in/Passwords not being saved when browsing

    Second time for this....

Many websites that I used to be able to "click" on are now asking for name/email and password. What happened and how do I fix that. I went to Internet Options/tools and the link to content (user names and passwords is checked) and still have the same problem.

Are you allowing cookies from these sites and are not deleting them when closing your browser session?

For security purposes, especially with banks and other financial institutions, including utilities such as gas and electricity (if that is the sort of site that you are on about), then this is the recommended scenario.

Indeed, I always recommend having to explicitly sign in to sites that require it. This is to prevent others, who might have access to your computer, from simply visiting the site(s) and cause you problems through masquerading as you.
