Windows 7: Chromium 23.x Speed-Dial 2 weird

When I update chromium snapshot to any of the 23.x posted in the last few days it messes up my Speed-Dial 2 so that I get one less row than the settings.

Also I see this funky shape that doesn't appear with previous 23.x snapshot builds.

Has anyone figured out how to fix this Speed-Dial 2 anomaly? See screen shot for funky thing that ain't supposed ta' be there.



edit: turns out that rectangle looking thingy means nothing. It's just a background image. Fidgeting with the settings fixed it. Played around with percentage of screen width, then set columns to 7, which produced 6 columns. Then when I put columns back to 6 it seems to have locked it in the way I had it before. The plus side is I found the rest of the settings including a nice "wood" background image that provides good contrast.
