How do I change blank pages to show the Google page as they used to?

    Hi All,

I am using Firefox as my preferred browser. When I reboot, Google always shows as my default search engine. But... when I click on the + sign or the house (in the top right corner) to open another tab/window, it opens to a blank page when it used to open to a Google page.

    Can you help?

    Thanks for your assistance,

    Vic

Hi -- Not sure if this is what you want, but go to Tools and click on Options. On the window that comes up, click on General and you can put in the home page that you want.

Go to google.com, and drag the google icon to the little home icon, and see if that works.

I appreciate both of your suggestions but they were unsuccessful.

bigmck: Although I did what you suggested, it won't stick.

714: When I drag Google from the page up to the house, it just changes into the Google image only... not the entire page.

That has got to work. Go to the webpage that you want as your home page.
Then go to Tools, Options, General as before. Click the "Use Current Page" and then Click OK at the bottom. It has got to work.

Okay bigmck... I opened a new window that was free of open tabs since it seemed to be collecting all the open tab addresses in the General > Use Current Pages > Okay.

So Google shows up when the new window opens but when I click the + for another tab, it opens a tab that simply says "New Tab".

But once I click on the home icon on the top right, the "New Tab" page becomes a Google page.

Which is fine and I appreciate your instruction. But can you tell me how to have the + turn into a Google page like it used to?

    Thanks again,

    Vic

The add-on that Trevers has in the above message will do what you want. Check it out.
