I can't access youtube at all.

    Hi guys,

I'm having this problem where i can't access youtube at all unless i restart my internet connection(and then it works for just under 5 min and then it stops working again). All this is happening since last night when i posted a comment on a "php e-comerce site video" that included a line of code regarding the video.

I have called my internet provider and they said it's not a problem from their end. I have tried my internet connection on a laptop and it works,it just doesn't work on my pc.

I have searched around here and found out that someone had youtube blocked in the host files of the windows,i've checked mine and i don't have them blocked there.

At the moment i'm doing a full malaware scan.

What could be the cause ? help....

Firefox, but i've tried google chrome and opera and it still does not work.

Cleared all my coockies and cache and sessions from firefox and it still does not work.

LE: It seems that i don't have malaware on my pc. Now what ?

What program did you use to scan for malware? Have you tried a system restore? When you go to You Tube are you automatically signed in? If so sign out and see if it works OK.

It is working now,i haven't done anything,i just made a linux live usb stick ,and when it was loading it in virtualbox, i tried loading youtube on firefox again, and it worked...so i still don't know what was wrong, but it's working now.

And i know my way around computers,so i don't need a restore point. + i'm on a PC and i was saying that i can't access youtube at all.

Are you saying then that a system restore is only for newcomers? If you are then perhaps you are not very clear of what a System Restore really is!
In your earlier post you said you could get into You Tube but it shut off after a short period.
and then it works for just under 5 min and then it stops working again
Now you are saying you couldn't get in at all! Which one is correct?

Maybe i didn't express myself right, what i meant is that it was irrelevant if i was logged in or not on youtube since i tried chrome and opera (which don't have my youtube login credentials) and still i couldn't access youtube.

And i don't like restore points since i like to know what's wrong with the computer and fix it myself so that if at some point in my life i happen to encounter this kind of problem,i know how to fix it easy, instead of using a restore point.
I must admit i'm not too fond of restore points since my only experience with it was on an old pentium2 which had windows milenium installed and when i tried to do a restore point,it got stuck and couldn't go back in windows. Thus i had to reinstall anyway.

Anyway, the crisis has been overcomed.
