Out of curiosity, what would be inside that attachment? Probably something that asks for some passwords you must insert to "login" and send them somewhere where evil people can use them. All these scams are more or less the same.
The more benign just steal your WoW account (or somesuch), the less benign (like this one) likely give evil people access to your e-banking account. They wanna make money outta this.
Of course they just spam them everywhere and hope that some get sent to someone whose bank is Barklays and is gullible enough to do what they ask.
My email is literally bombarded by such trash, thank god I have a good spam filter. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number custom built OS Win 7 Pro 64-bit 7601 CPU AMD Phenom 9650 QuadCore, revision DR-B3 Motherboard ASUS M4A78 Memory 4,00 GB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Fujitsu Siemens P19-3P Screen Resolution 1280 x 1024 x 32 bits @ 60 Hz Oh yeah, 4:3 rocks!
