Windows Live Mail Questions: Deselect and email links Question 1: I am using Ctrl-A in Windows Live Mail to select groups of mail that I need to delete but I can't find a way to deselect an email in the group. Since holding down Ctrl and clicking doesn't work anymore the way it did in XP has anyone found a workaround or a solution to this?
Question 2: Within emails I have a problem clicking on any link that is supposed to open to an email, the links to web pages work fine. I have already gone to the applications tab in options and tried selecting every mail option available and none of them work. Has anyone found a workaround or a solution to this?
Thanks for all assistance! | My System Specs |

Hi BKMalik, welcome to Seven Forums.
Answer 1, just hold CTRL and select the ones you want to delete one by one.
Answer 2, ensure WLM is set as Default. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Look in my Signature. OS Win7 H.Prem. 32bit+SP1 |

Already tried that, doesn't work unless you are ctrl-clicking each email individually, won't work with ctrl-A. Answer 2, ensure WLM is set as Default.
Solved, thanks. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit |

Already tried that, doesn't work unless you are ctrl-clicking each email individually, won't work with ctrl-A. For me in Win 7 32 Bit with WLM 2012: - Ctrl-A selects ALL emails.
- Holding Ctrl and left mouse clicking an email message de-selects it from the list.
- I can left click more than one message to "de-select" multiple messages from the list

This does not work for me. I can select but ctrl left-click will not deselect (Win 7 64bit, Windows Live Mail).
Do you think I should install WLM 2012? Can it be installed over 2011? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit |

Ok, interesting...
I use Outlook, and i don't have much experience with WLM.
I'm just starting to use WLM now for learning and testing...
For me WLM works the way i believe it should, just like other Windows programs.
I think you have some type of issue that needs a repair/fix...
I would start with a System File Check SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
I think i read there is a repair option for WLM, but i can't be sure at the moment...
Maybe someone knows for sure, or I'll see what i can find. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number home built OS Win 7 Pro x64 SP1, Win 7 Ult x86 SP1 CPU AMD Athlon II x4 620 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H Memory 6GB GSkill DDR2 800 Graphics Card AMD 4670 GPU + AMD 4200 IGP Sound Card on board Realtek ALC889A Monitor(s) Displays RCA 40" LCD TV, Insignia 32" LCD TV, HP 15" LCD monitor Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050... I'm not sure if that would fix your issue.
I always create a SYSTEM BACKUP IMAGE before making changes I'm not sure of.
I also know i can restore an image, because i have tested backup and restore. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number home built OS Win 7 Pro x64 SP1, Win 7 Ult x86 SP1 CPU AMD Athlon II x4 620 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H Memory 6GB GSkill DDR2 800 Graphics Card AMD 4670 GPU + AMD 4200 IGP Sound Card on board Realtek ALC889A Monitor(s) Displays RCA 40" LCD TV, Insignia 32" LCD TV, HP 15" LCD monitor Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050... Do you think that it will fix the problem? Are there any more bugs in 2012 that I may be letting myself in for? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Acer OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit |
