Windows 7: Issues with IE9 on some websites

My HP desktop with Window7 and IE9 has had issues on some websites since I've had it. The issues are that some pages will not load completely or load at all and the back button sometime will work and sometime it will not. All of these issues are random and intermittent on the same sites. Sometimes the refresh button will work and sometimes it will not. It seems that if they work at all they should work all of the time but I don't know enough about computer systems to understand. Some say I should change to another browser. I've tried Google Chrome and Firefox and they have their problems as well. I know I can't be the only one having these type issues. I delete cookies on a regular schedule.

This is very frustrating. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi shortride1, welcome to 7F!

Did your HP machine have IE8 when new and then you upgraded to IE9?
How long have you had your machine?

Have you considered a: System Restore to before you installed IE9, If you upgraded?

I wish it did have IE8 when I bought it. IE8 worked great with my previous PC. THe only reason I don't get rid of IE9 and download IE 8 is because HP will not honor the warranty if I do that. My HP PC is only 6 months old. It a HP Omni 220 with 4 GB RAM and duel processors.

Is this your only machine?

I ask that because with the way your machine is setup I'm not sure if you go to repair IE9 if your machine will revert to IE8.
It would be prudent if you installed another browser.

Mozilla Firefox Web Browser

https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/

Then you would have access to the web to download: Download Internet Explorer 9 - Microsoft Windows

I would guide you more, but since you didn't fill out your system specs I don't know what flavor of Windows 7 you have. It would really help if you would do that for us.

Are you saying these other browsers have the same problems?

If you still have them installed try a repair of IE9:
How to reinstall or repair Internet Explorer in Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP

You can either try the FixIt or follow the "Let me fixIt myself"
