Unified Sent view in Windows Live Mail?

Is there any way to view All Sent in Windows Live Mail using IMAP, just like you can view All Inbox? All Sent Items only shows mail you've sent using Live Mail, not the sent mail on the server that you may have sent using other email programs.

Hello campersand and Welcome to Seven Forums.

In WLM 2012 "All sent items" I see emails sent from all accounts including my Gmail IMAP account.
I have a Gmail IMAP and Hotmail MAPI account in this WLM setup.

I sent a message from my Gmail IMAP account using Outlook 2010 on a different PC, and that message is listed in WLM 2012 on this PC.

It might help if you specify what programs you use, what email providers, what WLM version, etc.
Have you checked your settings on your Email provider(s) Web site?

Make sure all programs use the same protocol per account such as IMAP.

    Hope this helps,
    David

Thanks for the response. I use Thunderbird right now and I was using Postbox for a while. Email is from my web host, Lunarpages. Using WLM 2011 (Build 15.4.3538.0513), Windows 7 Premium Home Edition.

All programs use the exact same setup. What's more, in WLM, the Sent folder under each separate account shows the emails I've sent using my other applications, it's just the All Sent Items folder that doesn't.

It sounds like your WLM accounts and folders are ok.
It's just the "All sent items" Quick view that isn't working.

With Windows Live Essentials 2012 you can do a Repair from Control Panel > Programs and features.
I'm not sure if Windows Live Essentials 2011 has the Repair option, but you can check.

If you do a Repair or Uninstall/Re-install I suggest backing up all data first.
You could also try updating to Windows Live Essentials 2012.

Here's a link with a screen print that shows the Repair option:

The repair worked! Thanks for the advice!

On a related note: What's the difference between 2011 and 2012? I looked online but, as with pretty much anything else I've tried to find related to WLM, couldn't find any definitive info.

Great, glad to hear you fixed it.

I'm not really sure what the differences are between 2011 and 2012.
I think they are very similar...maybe some fixes in 2012?

Here's an MS article that has a link to the release notes ...
