    Google searches hanging

    Have just installed on my new build - Asus P8Z77-V i5 3570K 8GB 2100MHz RAM 7 Home 64bit.

All updates went without a hitch and I have got my security on plus the usuals CC MBAM SAS Adobe Flash etc

But am now experiencing the machine hanging on a Google search for example I tried the AS SSD benchmark site and it just goes on forever.

Am also getting a an intermittent notify sound that like a croaky frog in some pond and that is really quite annoying.

Other wise the email and moving within apps is frighteningly fast!

    Any ideas please?

Hello John, the frog one could be tough :) This is a clean install of Windows 7? The google search issue, this happens with one particular browser, or multiple browsers? Do you experience the same issue if you try it in Safe mode with Networking?

No Guy it turned out to be a "corrupted" install if that is possible. I did fire it up with a bootable Ubuntu as a last ditch try and it Googled fine no sounds no nothing. So I figured I would try a reinstall as everything else we tried (another thread) was coming up zero go.

I tried the stick boot thinking perhaps it was a faulty CD but it wouldn't load changed it to a disk and it wouldn't activate so eventually had to put the what I thought was a bad CD back in - it installed no probs. So what the heck it was I have no idea - the first install - maybe a stale update or something because everything was going ok until after the first batch of updates.

Now KB advised me to just manually do the updates and that is what I have done and it's fine now.

Hey but thanks for the concern mate I really do appreciate it
