Windows 7: Added e-mail icon to desktop.

Added e-mail icon to desktop.

I added the icon for the e-mail address of BRAINHQ to my desk top. When clicked I got Microsift word. Any ideas.

Double check using the tutorial below to see if you used this method to create the shortcut.

New E-mail to a Common Contact Shortcut - Vista Forums

Next, double check to make sure that your email client program is set as the default program at least for the mailto protocol.

Default Programs - Associate a File Type or Protocol
