I downloaded IE 10 Preview on a Toshiba Satellite laptop running Windows 7. IE will not connect to the Internet now. Is this a driver problem or what?
I can connect with Chrome so it appears to be a IE 10 problem.
I did not have a problem with IE 9.

Yes, that could be it. I am on DSL and the laptop is wired to a Linksys router that is hooked to the modem.
So maybe I turn off modem and router and turn back on to see if it connects?

I wasted to much time. I turned off PC firewall and unplugged router and tried wireless and wired. Connects with any browser except IE 10. Since it was just a preview I went back to IE 9 via recovery and I will wait till the Final version comes out before I try again. It must be a Toshiba thing and there is no sense in wasting our time on it.

I thought IE was my default browser but I am not 100% sure it was. My Mom was using IE 9.
It's funny other browser's connected to the Internet.
I have two desktops also. I may see if IE 10 installs on one of them. It appears I am the only one with this problem.
I have noticed everyone else is running IE 10 just fine on Windows 7.

Ok, I installed IE 10 x64 on my Gateway Desktop that is wired to the same router that the Toshiba Laptop is wired to.
No problem. Easy as pie. So I have no idea why the Laptop would not connect to IE 10. It's no big deal. I will leave IE 9 on the Laptop.

Yes, same version on all computers. I have also installed IE 10 on my Dell Desktop Inspiron with no problem of connection. This computer uses Wi-Fi to connect to the Internet.
