Google frame -- get Windows Not Genuine error randomly

    Hi all

I tried the Google chrome plugin for IE8 -- now my LEGAL system (W64 RTM downloaded from technet) is giving me randomly "This edition of Windows might not be genuine. I then activate it (activates OK) until I next need some windows updates -- same thing happens.

Uninstalling the wretched thing doesn't help. Still get same message.

Fortunately I have a backup of my system BEFORE I did the install. I restored that and everything is fine again.

I'm not really sure what the google chrome plugin was meant to do -- If browsing speeds are slow IMO it's either because you have a slow network connection or the target website is being overloaded. I agree if there is cludgy code on a website then this could also be an issue but most of the websites I visit usually don't have the "horrendous spaghetti code" problem.

Plugins can be a good idea but not when they BREAK the actual application they are supposed to enhance.

    Cheers

Windows 7 still has problems. Even though it's uniquely awesome it does have bugs. I get a "Genuine Activation" error after I resume from Sleep. I right click "Computer", I go to properties and the genuine sticker is gone. It's not there. Restarting seems to fix the issue.
Think of Vista. Up 'till today, even with all updates and service packs, there are STILL bugs. Windows Seven WILL develop just fine and soon we will hopefully have a bug-free environment.
