    Live Mail issue with browser

I have a client that has Windows 7 Home Premium. He is using Live Mail and the program is working fine with regard to general functionality including sending and receiving messages. The problem is that any link within an email message does not render successfully in a browser, whether that be Interenet Explorer 8 or Google Chrome. The browser opens and the link appears but nothing opens. There are no messages and there seems to be no activity occurring either. If the link address is manually copied into the browser while Live Mail is still open it will not open, but if Live Mail and the browser are both closed and the browser is opened by itself and the link is copied into the browser it opens properly. Also if the browser was open before Live Mail was opened it will render the linked pages properly right out of the email as well. I have done a fair amount of research but have not uncovered any incidence of this problem Any ideas? Thanks for any info!

Programs and Features/Windows Live Essentials(highlight). At the top of the P&F window choose "uninstall/change" and in the next window choose "repair". It should repair all installed parts of Live Essentials, including Mail.
