Google Chrome - No Audio with Flash Player

I have recently found that Chrome doesn't play audio with Flash, it works with HTML5.

I have researched into this and people say disable all but the latest flash plugin but I only have one, re-install Chrome and re-install sound drivers.

None have worked apart from changing my sound from quadraphonic to stereo, it worked :). But that isn't a solution but just a work around and I want a solution. I don't need quadraphonic sound for Chrome you're right but it's a pain to keep switching between them. Any ideas? Thanks...

If you have only PPAPI (check under chrome://plugins) then it looks like you need go to: Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player and download flash player for Chrome browser.
I understand it's confusing to watch flash without sound but when Google fix their built-in Peper Flash a.k.a. PPAPI I strongly recommend to disable all other flash and enable PPAPI since Chrome's flash works under Low Integrity Level in internal policy sandbox and is much much safer because of that.

OK I installed an update after searching the Adobe help files, found a plugin installed it and it still didn't work as expected, disabled NPAPI and left PPAPI it still didn't work. So then I reversed that and it worked.

    Thanks.

    That download was http://download.macromedia.com/pub/f...ash_player.exe
