Have you tried this?
Source1) Identify the program or folder you wish to run in a fully maximized window.
2) Right-click the program or folder and click "Properties".
3) Click on the "Shortcut" tab.
4) Locate the drop-down box next to "Run:".
5) Choose from the following options:
Maximized - opens the program/folder fully maximized to fit your screen.
Above also works for Windows 7.
Thanks for your replies....I checked the settings...No dice...
I am not having the issue with folders or programs....The problem is with web sites that I brows to using IE9.My home page is ok...every site I go to after that I must maximize the page.Like I said I have tried most actions that have been recomended.Perhaps I should try them again....anything new would be welcome.
I'm afraid after researching the issue there isn't exactly a solid solution to fix your problem but instead a workaround as you are asking for new windows to remain maximised as I can understand how annoying it must be as I get annoyed when the windows explorer in Windows 7 does not remember the last panel preview width set.
There is however a solution but that would require using a third party program such as this. If you don't want to use a third party program you could consider using a different browser but that is entirely upto you.
Edit: Another thing you could try is to make a new IE 9 shortcut and doing what post #3 says. However as a Google Chrome user I can't guarantee this will work.
Well that's what I througt........But for whatever reason the issue is resolved!!!! At the last reboot all web pages open maximized!!!!! You figure it....I wish I could explain what I did...I can't.
Thank You Again This post is resolved
Here is what I did, works a charm.
You will need to make a bat file, in your documents or where ever you want to save it.
then right click it and edit
then copy and paste this, with out quotes
"@echo off
start Yahoo! UK"
then save it (this is one for yahoo uk) just replace it with your own url.
then right click and create shortcut.
then move the shortcut to your desk top.
then right click the shortcut , go to properties and under the shortcut tab, go to the run box and change to minimized, yes that's right "minimized. you can change your icon there as well.
done.
