Windows 7: FireFox 17, url problem with windfind.com

New Asus Laptop, download FirFox now have a site the keeps on loading itself as my preferred home URL. If i change it, the next time I start the Asus it comes up with this insidious URL Margarita Windsurfing Vacations - Windfind - - - )
I have searched the foirefox for add on, and did not find this junk.
I have search the c drive and did not find it.



any suggestions?

Searched my C drive with nothing found with 'windfind'
Used jv16 to search my registry and my disk, it found some things and I deleted what was found.
One time I found windfind in the control panel remove programs, and I did.
Deleted FireFox 17.x.x, Used jv16 to clean registry, search disk drive for windfind junk. Manually deleted any FireFox entry in registry. (Always shut down, and restarted after any cleaning procedure.
Installed FireFox-16 from my Win-XP machine, first time it started, ""UP, came the windfind 'search' URL"" Searched Mozilla forums fond an issue, but it wants me to use program delete in Windows 7 for something that's not on my system.
Have not tried Adw Cleaner or URL Fixer. Will do!

URL Fixer did nothing that is apparent, still comes up with start.windfind.
Adw Cleaner deleted a lot of keys from the registry, but still start.windfind still open on a newly started Fire Fox-16.

The best I can tell you have done every thing but what was suggested. After changing things in the registry you could be playing a completely different ball game.
