No sound in IE 9 when I load my homepage.

I have just bought a new computer complete with Windows 7. When I loaded Internet Explorer 9 on the old computer, the Google home page while it was loading made clicking sounds so you could hear when it was finished loading. On my new computer, the Google page loads up without any sound whatsoever yet I do have sound for Windows in general and other stuff such as music. Does anybody know how I set the Google page in IE 9 so it has sounds?

    Thank you

The google page has never had any sound for me, except on special occasions that google does have some special sound.

You can look at the Sounds, in the Sound Panel and see if there is something you can enable for the browser.

There were definitely sounds while it loaded on my old computer with Windows 7 on it and exactly the same Google homepage in IE 9. The new computer also has Windows 7 except the old one was Windows 7 Ultimate and the new one is Windows 7 Professional. That's the only difference.

I sort of had the feeling that it may be something that needed to be turned on in IE 9.

Where is the 'Sounds' in the 'Sounds Panel' that you mention located?

    Thank you

Problem solved, I found out how to do it. In case anybody else has this problem, this is the solution.

How to play system sounds in IE9

    With Internet Explorer open:

Tools | Internet Options | Advanced | Play system sounds-ON (check the little box.) | Apply | OK

    Thanks

That was already set as a "default" setting in my I.E.9 (I have never set or changed anything in that section).
