Windows freezes when browsing the internet

Hello sevenforums. I've been experiencing a problem with browsing the internet with Google Chrome. This doesn't happen too often, but apparently enough to bother me and make a thread about it. Windows freezes for a few(3-6) seconds, and I get a beep sound from the speakers, NOT from the computer, but from the speakers after the freeze ends and I can continue browsing again. Could someone please help me?

If this problem just recently started, you could try rolling back your computer to a date/time prior to the issue using a restore point.

    System Restore

This may not be a problem with Windows 7 but rather a damaged or corrupt Chrome. You could try disabling all extensions/add-ons and then re-enable one at a time. If the freeze occurs after enabling, you'll know which extension/add-on is to blame.

Manage your extensions - Google Chrome Help

You could also uninstall Chrome and reinstall a fresh copy using Control Panel > Programs and Features. If you have problems with that method you could manually uninstall.

Uninstall Google Chrome - Google Chrome Help

Manually uninstall Google Chrome in Windows - Google Chrome Help

All of these options do not include a solution to my problem I'm afraid. I have done a clean re-install of windows recently and I had freezes before that and I still get them after the install. I do not have any extensions in Chrome. Still need help!

I don't use Chrome but if Chrome has a Hardware Accelerator uncheck it.
