Clearing user names & passwords from forms

as a person uses different websites, a username and password often times populate in the login form (at least for username). How does a person clear all of that data from their browser where past usernames or passwords don't show up. I use firefox and IE as my browsers but pretty much just firefox on a Windows 7 64bit machine. Thanks
