WLM acting goofy! Emails & desktop

I open WLM and review and or delete the emails. I then click X to go back to desktop.
Instead of going to desktop each of the emails (previously reviewed and or deleted)
    is shown a second time.
Problem #2 When going to desktop, it sometimes only goes in pieces!

Hello and welcome 1hwtar mate I have no idea what your system specs are (very handy to know) and how old the machinew is or how long this has been going on.

But I would first check the system with a scannow try this -

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Have you tried any other email clients to see if the problem still occurs? As for your problem sometimes and uninstall and reinstall generally fixes issues like that.

Have you tried Outllook.com? It's web based and you can add all you pop3 accounts and most of you imap accounts. The more I use it the more I like it.

Have you tried repairing WLM. To do so go to control panel>programs and features then scoll down to Windows Live Essentials right click then click on the unininstall/change that appears, you will then be given an option to uninstall or repair all of windows live essentials choose the repair option. It is a good idea to back up your emails before doing a repair, though I have never lost any but some people have. As for the sfc /scannow, type cmd into search box, right click on the cmd then choose run as administrator. In the window that opens, type or copy and paste "sfc /scannow" without the quotes and press enter. I would try a repair as your first option.

Well something is not ok in the machine I am wondering if we have been looking at the right thing maybe this could be a hardware issue.

Might be worth seeing if it needs a defrag or hard drive scan with say Seatools? or even a memtest on the RAM as thinhsgs seem to replicate.

Having said that have you done any AV scans if not try these

If this was my machine I would back up the mail and addesses then uninstall and reinstall WLM, before doing that try doing what was suggested in the last post but if you are having no other issues with your pc then back up your mail and addresses, account details and uninstall and reinstall and see how you go. it sometimes saves a lot of stuffing around.
