    Twitter / Chrome issue

    Hi all,

Having a strange problem in Chrome when trying to get onto Twitter.

When opening a new tab and typing twitter.com it will always take me to
    Code:
    https://twitter.com/search/%7BsearchTerms%7D?source=desktop-search
    Can anyone help with this?

    Hi D3LL,

You may try to 'clear the cache and other browsing data' in 'Google Chrome':
    - <Alt><F> to launch 'File Menu' (Keep Google Chrome in the background)
    - Go to 'Tools' > 'Clear Browsing Data'

You may find this web article useful: Delete your cache and other browser data - Google Chrome Help

Hope this helps. Do reply if you have any further questions.

Yes it is a very weird problem.

Hi Saurabh, I have already tried doing this sorry I didn't mention it in my thread. It still has not seemed to fix the issue. It only does it in Google chrome as well.

Do you think a reinstall of Google Chrome will fix this?

    Hi D3LL,

If the issue stays even after 'deleting the cache & browser data', re-installing 'Chrome' may be a logical step. You may also check for 'Chrome updates', before the re-installation: Update Google Chrome - Google Chrome Help

Please ensure that you 'Export the current bookmarks in Chrome' for future use if needed (Before the re-installation): Import or export bookmarks - Google Chrome Help

Hope this helps. Do reply with the findings.

    Hi D3LL,

You may check the 'Extensions' in 'Google chrome'; while researching I came across a similar situation where an 'extension' allowed to set a specific Url in a new tab: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...iopdcmna?hl=en

Please check if this/or a similar extension is working with 'Google Chrome' in your system.

    Hi D3LL,

Was wondering if you tried re-installing 'Google Chrome'; please ensure that you backup the 'Bookmarks' for future use, if needed.
You may also try using 'Chrome' in another 'User Account' to see how it behaves.

    Do reply with the findings.
