Windows Live Mail: "Unexpected Error" - Unable to delete some messages

I never ever had this issue with Outlook Express. Suddenly, after I tried to delete some messages, I get the above error. I tried to move the messages to my deleted folder, nothing. I tried to move the store folder to another directory, nothing. I even uninstalled and uinstalled Windows Live, same thing. No success.

    Any ideas? Workarounds?

If the messages got corrupted when they came in or even now as corrupted WLM has no clue what do do about them and cannot delete them. This is a long time bug in WLM that Microsoft never fixed

All messages are downloaded. Only several emails got affected.

What I did was I installed Revo Uninstaller, I copied my messages (mail folder) over to a safe area of my hard drive. I uninstalled WLM (before I tried repairing it and uninstalling it with no success).

I ran Revo Uninstaller to remove as much as possible from the registry. I reinstalled WLM again. Oddly, it new where my new storage folder was despite deleting the old one. It imported the messages and I was able to move the affected messages to my DELETED folder and then just emptying it.

God how I hate WLM. Is there a way to convert WLM messages over to WM?

I was wondering if the old WM can import WLM 2012 messages. I'll post that question in the Windows Mail section.

Theirs nothing wrong with WLM 2012 if setup properly except it can't be used to store 'Group' contacts.

that is correct, as long as you do not do group contacts it works great but if you do like I have it is terrible but you can always go back to 2011, it is still available

I am awaiting for Microsoft to fix this, they keep telling me "they are working on it" Funn that was last month was the last time they told me this,,, go figure

unable to delete message in live mail

Sorein on Unable to delete email in Windows Live Mail POP account Windows 7 - Microsoft Community gave a very simple solution which worked fine for me: Try to forward the stuck message. You will receive an error message, but after that you will be able to delete the stuck message.

This has nothing to do with a stuck message. It will not sent to a grpt because it sees it as. An unspecified contact. If you log out of live mail, then log back in, it will now send the message.
