How to import contacts to a separate contact folder in WLM

I use Outlook 2003 and have a separate e-mail contact list for a club. A new club person is going to manage/maintain the e-mail list but they use Windows Live Mail. I know how to import contacts into WLM, but I can't figure out how to import them to a sub folder under Contacts. The Import contacts option doesn't allow selecting where to import the contacts.

How about importing them in and then make a group contact list for the ones you want in this specific group?

I don't want to import them into his Contacts and have them mix with his existing contacts and then go through 130 plus contacts, one at a time and try to move them to a different folder. I want to keep them separate.

With no other comments or suggestions, it sounds like what I want to do can't be accomplished?
