    Freeze while browsing with Chrome

When I'm browsing the internet with Google Chrome, my computer occasionally freezes for 5 to 10 seconds and once the computer goes back to normal I hear a short beep sound from my speakers. Help!

I have tried all of those suggestions that apply to me, but none of them helped. I have a high end PC, so it is not a performance problem. bump

you should monitor your process when it gets dummy, you should see what program is using your cpu and what programs are running at the moment, use process explorer from here Overview - Process Hacker
you can also use ctrl+enter to find the program source in this program

I am using game booster which shuts down all useless programs I don't need. I monitor my cpu when browsing with standard windows tools, and my cpu usage doesn't get higher than 30%. Like I said before, I have a high end machine, and this isn't a performance issue, but something else. I just don't know what. Still need help :/

High performance machines usually don't need game boosters... Hell, LOW-END PCs don't need game boosters. In general those programs are useless because the impact on the games' performance is minimal. You only do harm to your system by continuously (across a single session i.e. not restarting/turning off your PC) using it to stop system services and third party notifications etc.

When the system is idle, it's idle; there aren't many games aside from your AV that can impact the performance of the game when it runs a process like scanning for viruses or updating definitions (the biggest impact of this being a short spike of lag, that's all).

... and just now I'm realizing what you actually meant when you wrote that last post so lol on me
Still, it could very well be a Flash issue, even on a high performance machine. That b**** will suck up all the life it can get just to troll you.

Try a different browser for a couple of hours, see how that goes. Having Flash integrated into Chrome makes it even less predictable and bugfix-friendly for common users, so try IE9 or FF or something and see if the problem persists.

Maybe this easy step will help you,

    1) First of all delete the Local State file which holds some of the Custom Settings

    2) Rename the Default folder which has all the Google extensions, Bookmarks, History, Jumplist icons, etc. The reason why we are renaming it is because if it's not the cause of the random freezes and crashes, then we don't have to lose all this information.

Or you can click the link for more solutions

The problem seems to occur every time I visit this site: How To Fix Aspect Ratio On Youtube Videos - Remove Black Bars
Does that give you any kind of hint what the problem is?
