    firefox 18.01 - (Error code: sec_error_bad_signature)


    (Error code: sec_error_bad_signature) why does this error msg. pop up on some web sites?

    That is FF warning of an issue with the sites certificate. Whether it is accurate or not I can't say. Can you provide an address so we can check it with our FF 18.01?

    Not the caution, if you get warned of a problem with a certificate, and choose to ignore it, you should be certain it is safe (and how can you be?)

    you could install the web of trust add on, that will give you another indicator about sites and details as to why a site may be untrusted.

    the error mesg. seems to be google related no searches can be done with google or gmail.com allowed
    I tried the certificate fix, to no availe

    You might try starting FF in Safe mode to see if it is add-on related.

    Open FF> Help> Restart with add-ons disabled

    update....tried to apply wot add-on got the error mesg.
