Mozilla add for android product is now my start page when I open FF

I don't know if this is the right place for this question. My apologies if it isn't.

When I open My browser, the one I spent hours to get the way I wanted, (FireFox) it now shows an add for a Mozilla Android app.
How do I get rid of it?

I have tried tools/options/general to reset and it does me no good.

If you go to tools>options>general under startup click in Home page box and type the url of the homepage prefixed by http:// and click ok. then click on home button and it should go to the new homepage you have set.

    I have already done that.
I have put in about:bland which it has always been, click OK, close it and as soon as I open up again it
goes back to the android ad.

"about:bland" isn't correct ... about:blank, would be the correct word (and spelling)

about:blank Returns a blank HTML document with the media type text/html and character encoding UTF-8. This is widely used to load blank pages into browsing contexts, such as iframes within HTML, which may then be modified by scripts.

I assumed it was a typo, one of the options to set home page on the drop down is Show a blank page, and he said he had tried that. A Guy
