I found out it is freetwittube, something I did not install, so I removed it.

    something called yontoo.

I also have some real player extension which I did not install.

looking at how to remove yontoo, suggestion came up spyhunter4
SO it has found hundreds of potentially bad infections, including yontoo.

    Run of Malwarebytes shows nothing.

I found ccleaner free can remove the tracking cookies.
Yontoo I removed from the uninstall programs part of win7

That left only a fragment of Claro and yontoo mentioned in some config files.

    sdowney717,

You may want to give this a whirl...

    Download AdwCleaner:
    http://general-changelog-team.fr/fr/downloads/finish/20-outils-de-xplode/2-adwcleaner

    Save to the desktop.
    • Close all open programs.
    • To run the program, right-click AdwCleaner.exe and select "Run as Administrator
    • Click on Delete and confirm the prompt.
    • After it finishes, the computer is restarted.
A text file report opens after the restart.

Please post the content of the AdwCleaner report to your reply.
(A copy of the log is also saved at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt)

    sdowney717,

Do you have something by the name of 'Browser Manager' in Programs and Features?
If so, you need to: Uninstall

If you rebooted, and still have Claro, check the following:
    Claro Search

Post back on whether the nuisance is gone.

don't see anything like browser manager in programs.
    Don't have any claro troubles.

I am using google Chrome Remote Desktop to access this PC. Works well.
I am upstairs and it is downstairs. I access it using an Ubuntu PC 12.04

It is easier to sit here to work on it as the downstairs PC with windows is attached to a TV.
