Windows 7: Who has installed ie10? and what do you think?

I installed it on a test machine running windows 7 pro sp1. I did not use windows updates. I went to windows IE10 site and picked it up there. I installed the 32bit because that machine only runs 32bit.
I saw not much of a difference between ie9 and 10 but again I was on a test machine that doesn't really have too much stuff on it. It is not running Office, it is running Libre Office 4. So far I see no problems but i am hestitant to put it on a machine that runs all kinds of programs at this time till I see how others have faired.
I will tell you I did not install the Kb2670838 pre rec update at all, and unless it is inside the ie10 browser it did not ask me for anything while i was installing it.
So- what about the rest of you all?

It`s OK, I don`t like the small address area, I am staying with IE8, I like it. A browser is a browser, nothing to loose sleep over.

I feel about the same as AddRAM. Downloaded/installed with no problems. Used it it for an hour or so , just surfing to check it out. Pretty quick and only found a couple of "glitches" with websites, all very minor. The (very)small imho, address area is annoying but livable I guess. Full disclosure: I use Opera as my main browser and have for years, that will continue unchanged. My secondary browser is and will remain Maxthon also. Having said all THAT , I'll be keeping it on my system "just in case". Have to hand it to MS on this one though as they are finally getting it right.

It is OK. You have to enable Enhanced Protection Mode to get it to operate fully 64 bits.

You can expand the address area by right clicking on the window top border and unselect lock the toolbar

Then drag the right side of the address area to increase its size.

It's IE, just with a higher number, nothing more............. At least I feel good knowing I'm up-to-date.

Thank you for the tip. IE is my 3rd choice in browsers so am not that familiar with it.

Also right click on the window top bar and check "show tabs on a separate row" this will expand the address bar.

The downside to that is reduced usable screen height, which could be a problem on smaller monitors such as the displays on laptops.
