MSIE 10 Update for Win 7 x64, worth it?

    hi guys,

i was presented today the update from Win Update for IE10, i wanted to ask if it's worth it or not, i normally use IE9 and generally speaking i like it, no hangs etc etc..

rather than a list of the new features, i'd like to know from a user point of view, do you find it better than version 9, faster, etc?

    thanks a lot

I did not take it and hid the update, I think IE10 has several bugs to be worked out. Have a look through this thread.

Unlike all of the previous posts, I had the complete opposite experience: same features as IE9, but is much much faster than IE9 in page loading, HTML 5 hardware acceleration performance, javascript performance, memory footprint. My only gripe is that Flash player performs better in Chrome albeit Chrome's flash player uses more CPU and RAM.

I have it installed on three systems (Windows 7 x64 Ultimate) with no issues.
    I like it.

Oh dear me! I am the idiot! I accepted the update. I agree with Britton 30 and Gary. IE 10 is now giving me a headache. The right scrolling button is now all grey. I think will uninstall it. I should have read this thread before I accepted the offer. IE 10 update changed my settings thoroughly and affecting my Google Chrome, Notepad and other apps.

Well, the gray scroll bar is a reminiscent of Windows 8 Explorer's scroll bar. I'm sad to hear that IE 10 caused a havoc on your settings. IE 10 on mine didn't do a single thing with my settings at all and I don't mind the scroll bar that much but I wish MS didn't change it.
