Web page address 3 bar icons

After doing a website search In IE10 there are green and grey coloured 3 bar icons at the back end of most of the address's. What are these for and can I switch them off?

Normally the green is for HTTPS which is secure

Yeah they might be https addresses.

But post a screenshot of that window. We'll get better clarity.

That's just Avast's version of WOT (Web of Trust)
If you want to get rid of those bars, go into Avast, Settings, Cloud Services and uncheck Reputation Services
