What Anti-Virus is installed? - I see that the Windows Firewall is disabled, so what other firewall is running?
If you open Device Manager, and enable View > show hidden devices
do any devices show with yellow or red flags?
Which ones?
Hi...
- Bitdefender Internet Security 2013.
- no, no yellow flags in H/W Man, no issues.
- and I have tried installing IE10 with Bitdefender disabled..
You're not using SpyBot TeaTimer at all?
next time you get the PnP driver error, please note it EXACTLY.
Let's see if there's anything not-so-obvious amiss...
Please followthis tutorial and post an MGADiag report

Ignore errors produced when clicking on theCopy button - they simply mean that the tool could not create the backup filesfor some reason. The data is still copied to the clipboard for pasting to yourresponse.
Hi, no Spybot, never in this Windows.
Attached screenshots of the PnP reports from Action Centre
Rest later..

The problem with the drivers appears to be NVidia-related - the Chipset drivers.
You need to go to the HP website and install the latest update for your computer from there.
(you do realise that your installation of Office Pro 2003 is counterfeit??)
The latest driver on the HP site for Win 7 32bit is this:
Graphics Driver for NVIDIA nForce MCP77MV Chipset2009-09-25 , Version:8.15.11.8644 A, 176.72MThis package provides the graphics driver for the NVIDIA nForce MCP77MV Chipset in the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems. This driver enables graphic display and provides a user interface to access display properties.
- I noted in my post I'd updated the graphics driver - actually twice- via Windows Update, as I had noted the likely dependency from the articles I quoted.
However I think it may be some time- if ever- that appropriate drivers are released for 2-3 year old notebooks for IE10, if that's the issue.
re: Office 2003- Mmm, ok thanks- someone gave me that in China.. I was suspicious. Anyway I can swap to Kingsoft's Office Suite.. the look and feel is virtually identical. I don't use Office much anyway..
