I need help to save web pages to my computer - Windows 7

I have been saving important web pages to my computer. When I open one, it opens as a 'user document'. What I would like to accomplish is, when I click on the document in it's saved locaion, for it to open the web page instead of opening as just a document. I have tried all the 'save as' options in Widows 7 but it does not work. Could you help please?

I have no trouble in saving links to web pages.

    Thank you

Depends on the browser, but they all have a "save as" in the File menu.

    This is in FF:
When you click on it to save as, open the drop down at "save as type" and you can select either web page complete or HTML only.

Could you please tell me the difference between "web page complete" and "HTML only". I don't see much difference in the way they are saved.

See: Mozilla Support Forum | For 'save as'... what is dif between...web page complete, HTML only, text file

The differences wouldn't be discernible to the average user, but would be to a web page developer:
This may or may not be a problem depending on why you need to see the markup. Either way it is very important to realise that the markup you are seeing is not necessarily exactly the same markup that gets sent to the browser.
