I got my update from the Help/About Firefox.
This is the way I always do this browser update.
Maybe I'm the only one with problems. Sometimes I'm lucky like that.

Strangely I didn't get the usual "an update to Firefox is available" notification. I didn't even know that Firefox 20 had been released until I read about it on Facebook.

    same here.
maybe you reinstall it from fresh but keep your profile. and its easy to back your profile folder up by clicking help/ troubleshooting information , then click the profile folder in the window that opens.
save it elsewhere close firefox before you save it .

the only thing i found a problem in ff20 is some pages load up very tiny
Open ie9 and the exact pages are fine
Not only me 2 of my clients are complaining about the same thing
maybe we will see an update for it very soon again to fix some of the problems
I haven't had any problems with the FF 20.0 update so far.
Can anyone give me a link to a page that is a problem so I can test it ?

No problems at all here. I think it's another case of how the computer is set up, which progs are on it, etc. Not saying anything is wrong with it, but various setups affect other software. It's impossible to test every possible scenario before releasing a product. :)

I agree, but maybe I just haven't hit some scenario(s) that is a problem...
I'd like to test anything possible before I update other systems, especially if they are for other people's systems...
It could be isolated, but it seems like more people here have issues with FF 20 than I remember reading about with previous updates...

I just removed Firefox again using Ccleaner and installed FF20 using I.E.10. It did at least go on line. I'm tinkering with it now.
I did notice off the bat that one of my FF icon on the Taskbar is missing. I use to have two and now I only have one. I forgot how to add the second icon. It does come in handy at times. I also notice that I lost LAN for my two computers. I let Windows troubleshooter fix them.

I could use some help with adding icons for FF to Taskbar.

    Hello LB,
To pin a second icon to the taskbar, Right Click FF in the Start Menu and click Pin to Taskbar.
Also, there may an update to FF later today with a couple of bug fixes.

No problems for me,i have an automatic updates on and it updated the browser as soon as it was release .
The major update offers a number of key improvements including the ability to run private and non-private browsing simultaneously in separate windows and a massively revamped download manager.
I used Private browsing most of the time since it keeps you from being tracked . Anyways its been a good welcome update by firefox on its 15th birthday. :)

right clicking the ff icon in start menu only gives me the option to unpin from taskbar as its already pinned, i tried to pin a new shortcut to taskbar but it wouldnt either, presumably as i have it already pinned.
