When I go to uninstall programs ,click on Windows Live .I don't get any response at all .
What could cause this . I am using Windows Live 2009 .Windows 7 64 bit.
Another problem is I can no longer insert background sound in Email.
Maybe you need to upgrade to WLM 11 or 12
Windows live mail is part o windows live essentials Because you have a very old version you really need to upgrade it especially if you are not seeing windows live e essentials in program and features to uninstall it
Windows Live Essentials is listed in programs but if I click on it and choose uninstall nothing happens.
I did have Live Essentials 2011 and I had nothing but problems so I downgraded to 2009 and have been using that version for a little over a year without a problem . I also can no longer send a MP3 file in a Email and I used to be able to do that.
I am wondering if you installed Windows update platform update KB2670838 in last months updates
If you did please uninstall it. This update caused havoc in WLM and that could be what is causing your problem
OKay,I uninstalled KB2670838, now I am able to send MP3 in the background of Email.
I still am not able to get any response from clicking on "Windows Live Essenstials"
If I click on it there is about a 2 second timing circle and that is it.
I think it used to be when when you clicked on windows live essentials it brought up the option to
uninstall what ever component you wanted to uninstall or repair.

is the program at least working the way you want it? If so leave it alone
If not then try installing Windows Live Essentials 2012, it should uninstall the old 2009
see if everything works fine- if it does use 2012
If not then uninstall window Live Essentials and reboot the computer
Use Ccleaner to clean the temp files
then reinstall 2009 WLM
but if 2012 works i would stick with the newer vs the older
