Firefox update 20.0 not so good.

The new update for Firefox mess up all kinds of things on my computer.
I used a restore point back to 19.0.2 and I think things are back to normal.

I suggest you have a good restore point before updating Firefox.
    Hope this helps someone.

the only thing i found a problem in ff20 is some pages load up very tiny
Open ie9 and the exact pages are fine
Not only me 2 of my clients are complaining about the same thing
maybe we will see an update for it very soon again to fix some of the problems

Not to mention that the new Downloads tab is messed up... works properly in private windows, but not in normal ones... (instead, it shows the catalog window, just a rearanged window instead of the old downloads one...)
And the worst, sometimes, in the Task list, New Private Windows option after upgrade will simply stop working, if that's your case, uninstall firefox and reinstall (you can retain your personal settings, it doesn't matter).

It flashes an arrow when the download is finished. A Popup box also appears in the lower right hand corner. There is not a need to stare at a box while downloading when you can be doing something else.

also when a download takes a minute or two the arrow changers to a tiny progress bar and you see the time countdown. its very small but neat.
when its finished the download arrow changes to blue ,though that color change may be my theme

If you want the old download window back put about:config in the address bar press enter go to browser.download.useToolkitUI and set it to true, make sure browser.download.manager.showWhenStarting is set to true also so the download window starts automatically.

    Thanks for all the info.
I normally have no problems with updating Firefox. I don't know how things changed because it wouldn't go online. I do know what I want to happen and not happen.
    1. I want to be able to go online with the browser.
    2. I want all my settings to stay the same as before.
    3. I want a improvement over the previous
    one for security and speed.
    4. I want all my Bookmarks to stay the same.
    5. I want my add on's to stay the same.
    6. I want the download window. If I didn't I would of remove it.
    7. I don't want a update that just tinkers with little toys and arrows and such.
    8. I don't want the update to change other things on my computer like starting up transparency and changing Windows colors and changing how websites appear. It also changed download location.Which did happen. How the update did this I have no idea but it did happen right after installing FF 20.0.
That is why I recommended having a good Restore Point before downloading and installing FF 2.0 just in case I'm not the only unlucky one.

Just give me more security and speed and I will take care of the tinkering if I so desire. Firefox 19.0.2 fills the bill.

as said by jerry you can have the old window back if you need it.
im not sure why the update messed you computer about but i have never had a big problem with firefox updates. minor niggles but nothing big.

where did you get the update from, did you do it from the help/about, update window.

or did you get it from a different site.
