IE 10 won't Accept Group Policy

At work we have a group policy set to apply a certain home page to every user but I have noticed when testing with IE10 that it is not accepting the group policy homepage, I have tried running gpupdate /force and rebooting the PC but it will not accept the group policy homepage. I know it must be a security setting within IE10 but am not sure what to change to fix this? If anyone has any info I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Are you setting the homepage via this setting?

Internet Explorer Home Page - Specify and Prevent Changing

User Configuration\
Administrative Templates\
Windows Components\
Internet Explorer\
Disable changing home page settings

It works for me IE10 64bit with 64bit tabs enabled...
...but I'm just testing via local gpedit.msc snap-in

Will either of these allow me to restrict drive access to a single user only? I've tried to restrict drive access with Group Policy Editor but it applies the restriction globally--even to me the administrator. Could anyone let me know if this is possible and how to do it? Much thanks.

Group Policy....
At work, the domain I am in creates an icon on my desktop every time I log in. It's REALLY ANNOYING, especially as it's for the can't-help-with-that desk, who I never use. Turns out this is created by group policy. I have asked for them to modify my user so it does not get created, but as...
