    Task Manager entry question


    Whenever I am online, if I bring up Task Manager I see: FlashUtil32_11_7_700_169_ActiveX.exe *32. What is this & why is it there? I can End the process w/o any problems arising, but it comes back after a while.

    It's because you have Flash Player installed and went to a site that required it.

    I believe if you have protected mode on, it shows, and it does not if protected mode is off. You could confirm.

    Internet Explorer Protected Mode - Turn On or Off

    But why does the description state: Adobe Flash Player Installer/Uninstaller 11.7 r700
    Is anything actually being installed/uninstalled?
    Also, if I end the process, I can still surf; so do I really need it running?
