Thumbnail image will not change for program used for .html files

Hello Seven forums, I have been trying to figure out why my thumbnail for html files when using Google Chrome shows a internet explorer icon instead of the chrome icon as it has shown before. I have tried clearing the thumbnail cache and the icon cache but nothing happened. I have attached a image of my right-click menu and my open-with list as well. Thanks!

    Hello Nenad,

If you set Chrome as the default program with all of it's associations, does it change the icon then?

Default Programs - Set a Program's Default Associations

If so, then you could set any associations you don't want for Chrome back to IE afterwards if wanted.

Hope this helps for now, :)

thank you so much Brink, that fixed the issue, but would any issues arise that Google Chrome has these file extensions set? i'm not sure how to un-tick them because other programs do not have them in the lists. I have outlined them in orange for you, thanks once again! :)

    You're welcome Nenad. :)

Having them set with Chrome would just have those file types open with Chrome, so there wouldn't be any issues unless you preferred to have it open with another program (ex: IE).

If you do, then you could just select the program (ex: IE) you wanted to use instead, then use the Choose defaults for this program option to set the file types to open with that program instead.
