    wow!!! this is weird. I just tried that link, and still didn't work. I took ownership of the downloads folder and it still had a lock. I tried to download photo.jpg, and still will not let me download.

    It says you have full control of the Downloads folder . If you click on the Advanced button on the bottom of the Downloads Properties window . Inside the Advanced window click on Owner tab what does it say as whose the Current Owner ?
