    Windows Live Mail

Hi, I recently set up an 'out of office' reply on Windows Live Mail. It seemed to work fine.
When I returned from holiday I deleted the mail rule --- but it still continues to send an out of office reply. I've deleted the message file as well but it still keeps going. HELP ! Any suggestions ?

Where did you set this? On the web on live.com or from the program
Do you sign into live mail?
If so you can go to live.com on the web browser and in email settings fix it in there

Hum Robin just a wild stab but depending on how long ago that was set up could not a system restore get rid of it?

yes, that might do it also, only if he remembers the day he set it up and goes back a day before, but he has to make sure he installed nothing else that day or that will go bye bye also.

He can also try a repair first, and if that does not work then I would go for the system restore
    Stuart:
when you read this try the repair first
the way to do this is to go into Control Panel/Program and Features
Double Click on Windows Live Essentials
it will have two options, Uninstall and Repair
Pick the Repair and follow the instructions
Restart the computer and see if it fixes it
If not then you can try ICit's advice about doing the system restore

Yep agree Robin I am guessing the restore shouldn't be that hard to find a date for as the OP must have some dates when he went on holidays. But again I agree that it would mean lot of catching up to do with updates and other things plus I don't know if if it would mean re downloading the messages that were destined for the answering message.

Thanks to those who replied. I had thought of doing a restore, but the restore points didn't go back far enough - so no go. However, doing the 'repair' of Live Essentials seems to have done the trick.
    Once again, thanks to all.
