Problems with Favorites and Links in IE 10

Windows Update installed IE 10 during an automatic update. My fault for not preventing it. Since the update to IE 10, I am having problems with it when clicking on both favorites and on links on web pages.

When I click on a favorite, one of four things happens:
    1. About 80% of the time, the browser behaves normally and loads the destination page of the favorite right away.
    2. Sometimes nothing happens; it's as if I have not clicked at all.
    3. Sometimes the browser display turns white, but the destination web site never loads.
    4. Sometimes I must click the favorite two or three times before the browser finally loads the destination page.

A similar problem occurs when clicking a link on a web page. It works most of the time, but too often nothing happens until I have clicked the link two or three times.

Both problems seem to happen randomly. They occur with sites I visit frequently but also with sites I am visiting for the first time. For example, it happened a half dozen times today when I clicked my favorite for Google.

The problems were apparent immediately after IE 10 was installed. I tried disabling add-ins, which made no difference.

Is there a fix, short of reverting to IE 9 or using a different browser? For work purposes, I need a properly working version of IE. I'd like it to be IE 10, if possible, for purposes of compatibility with customers. For my own use, I can use a different browser.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

Possibly an outdated mouse driver..What type wired or Wireless/ brand..
Most people have better luck use software rendering,
Internet options/ Advanced section/ Check the top box-Use software rendering instead of gpu rendering/ Apply and Okay.
    Reset ie9 or ie10 manually,
Click the Start button on the Taskbar,
    Click on Control panel,
    Click on Internet options,
    Go to the Advanced section,
Click on Reset button on the bottom,
Check the box to Delete personal settings,
Use the recommended setup and install options.
    Shut down your machine.
    After Resetting ie9 or 10,
Open ie when prompted that there are Add-ons ready to be Enabled click on No,
Test with the sites your having issues with first before enabling any add-ons.
