Any ideas as to why?

That is apparently a common issue, with many possible "fixes" (I don't use Chrome myself). The one I see most often is to rename AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe to chrom.exe. A Guy

While i was trying to fix it i saw Commodo Dragon browser which seems to be similar to chrome, any feedback on that browser from anybody?

Comodo Dragon is based on Chromium, same as Chrome, with various security features added. Some really like it. There are few other Chromium based browsers as well. Opera Next is a Chromium based browser. A Guy
